Jim Kane of Chicago, previously of Elmhurst, died peacefully on July 19th, just after his 86th birthday. Raised in Rogers Park,a graduate of Loyola Academy, and Loyola University Chicago for both his Bachelors and Masters in Education. Loving father of ten, Mary Brigid (Steve), James (Susan), Daniel, Christine (Don), John (Lisa), Ed, the late Patrick, Jennifer(Rocky),Kevin (Roberta), Brian. Preceded in death by his beloved brother John. Survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was Chicago through and through instilling a love of this great city to all who knew him. Visitation Friday July 23, 9-11 am followed by mass, both at St Ignatius Catholic Church, 6559 N Glenwood Avenue Chicago, IL 60626. Internment immediately following mass, Calvary Cemetery 301 Chicago Avenue, Evanston, IL. 60202-3505. In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to Kellogg Little Sisters of the Poor, Chicago.
