Jane Walchirk Obituary

Jane R. Walchirk, nee Robbins, 86, beloved wife of the late Victor "Vic" L. Walchirk, J.D.; loving mother of Ellen, Amy, and Mark (Teresa); proud grandmother of Benjamin, Lauren, Adam, Ethan, Allison, Natalie and Gabriela; devoted daughter of the late Al and Belle Robbins; cherished sister of Alan Robbins. Jane was a remarkable woman. She is best known for her dignity, refinement and discipline, and for her iron will. She was a devoted homemaker and mother and attained her CPA after raising her family. She enjoyed gardening, reading, and cooking. We will miss her dearly. A memorial gathering in honor of her life will be held. In lieu of flowers, remembrance contributions may be made to The Nature Conservancy using their In Memoriam donation form, available online. For information: call Weinstein & Piser Funeral Home at 847-256-5700.

Dear Ellen, Amy and Mark and families,
So sorry to learn of both your parent's recent passing. I fondly remember them as caring, generous, patient, and thoughtful people who loved their children very much. Our years together growing up at Beth Emet in the 70s-80s were memorable for the times we spent together in Chugim, at Oconomowoc, at life cycle and community events in the Crown Room and beyond. Their presence was a comfort to many. I last saw your mom working at the Soup Kitchen a few years ago - as ever a lovely person to be around. Your dad was always such a mensch. May their memories be a blessing to you all.
Linda
