Janice Bjork

Janice Bjork, nee Ferm, passed away suddenly at the age of 75 on July 8, 2004 in Sarasota, FL. Born in Rockford, IL on March 19, 1929, she was a former resident of Wilmette and Winnetka. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, John ''Jack'' Bjork of Sarasota; daughter, Kim Lykins of Houston; son, Jon of Dallas; grandchildren, Jackson and Chandler Bjork of Dallas; and her sister, Ruth Moore of Evanston. An accomplished artist, Janice was widely known for her acrylic paintings and metal ta- bletop wildflower sculptures. She was a member of the Junior Leagues of Evanston, IL and Jacksonville and Sarasota, FL; was a Docent at the Art Institute; and actively supported Planned Parenthood. A Memorial Service was held on Monday, July 12 in Sarasota. Contributions in her memory may be made to the charity of choice or to Texas Foundation for the Arts, PO Box 667183, Houston, TX 77266-7183.
