Jay "Bud" Frieling, age 71, beloved husband for 48 years of Shirley, nee Reitsma; loving father of Robert (Kim), Laura (David) Ipema, Linda (David) Schaver, Thomas (Mary) and Sandra (Eric) Washington; dear grandfather of Lauren, James, Hope, Robert, Kayla, Mateo and Marcus Frieling; Melissa, Michelle, Steven and Melanie Ipema; Kyle, Danny, Lindsey and Kelsey Schaver; Kaitlyn, Zachary and Anna Frieling; Samantha and Isabella Washington; fond brother of Eldene (Herman) Doff, Martin (Janice), Florence (the late Harry) Van Dyken and Karen (John) Wierenga; dear brother-in-law of Robert (Connie) Reitsma and Mara (David) Mulder; dear uncle of many nieces and nephews. Former owner of Wentworth Tire Service. Visitation Sunday, 3 to 9 p.m., at Colonial Chapel, 15525 S. 73rd Ave. (155th/Wheeler Dr. & Harlem), Orland Park. Lying in state, Monday from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service 11 a.m. at Calvary Church of Orland Park, 15101 S. 80th Avenue. Interment private at Fairmount-Willow Hills Cemetery, Willow Springs, IL. Memorials to Calvary Church Growing in Grace Fund or Southwest Chicago Christian Schools preferred.
