Miriam and family, I'm so sorry about Jay. He was, and will live in my memory always, as a man of such vitality and generosity, so excited to share the things he took pleasure in, through his and your invitations to go boating or whatever it was. I remember Green Lake, where I brought my wife Shari, and the fun we had. Shari and I send our deepest condolences. With love, Eric Freibrun

I'm so sad to hear of this news. Mr. Novick (and Mrs.) were always the sweetest and coolest parents while I grew up with Helen. My condolences to the entire family.

We met as newlyweds about 62 yrs. ago when Jay and Stan were in basic training. Jay went on to the 5th Army Band and the 26th Infantry went to Germany, but we have fond memories of the friendship and the recipe for blueberry cheese cake.
We are so sorry to learn of Jay's passing and send deepest sympathy to Miriam and family.
Sincerely,
Stan and Eleanor

Enjoyed playing in the clarinet section of the Glenview Concert Band with Jay. We were both Badger fans. I will miss him. My sympathies to all his family. He was a very nice man.

Our deepest sympathy on the loss of our dear friend, Jay. He was so joyful and eager to share with us the love of the outdoors. When we first met, he took us for a ride on his snow mobile. During the fun filled week ends with Miriam , he gave us beautiful rides on his boat and grilled us delicious meals on the patio. Jay will always hold a special place in our hearts. Bev & Marshall sending love to Miriam & her children.

A perfect picture to remember Jay. It brought back so many memories over the last 62+ years to single out just a few, but John and I were the lucky ones to share the joys of Madison and Green Lake with you, Jay, Dave and Betty. Remember the Ivy Inn, Betty's potato salad, brunch at the Edgewater, Heidel House, Babcocks Pig Trough, tennis with Dave and 8 meals a day? It was a special place for the entire Mack family. Jay, thanks for the memories. We will miss you forever.
