Jean Marilyn Larson Damisch, 80, of Northbrook, IL passed away with loved ones at her side on March 23, 2011. She was the youngest of two children born to George Larson and Ruth Lillian (Lundberg) Larson on April 6, 1930 in Chicago. Jean graduated from Von Steuben High School and Northwestern University. She married Richard James Damisch of Hampshire, IL in 1952. Her 31 year teaching career was complemented by earning a Doctor of Education degree from Northern IL University and being inducted into the National Teachers Hall of Fame. Jean is survived by her husband of 58 years, Richard J. Damisch; three children, Kent (Kim) Damisch, Indianapolis, IN, Diane (Dr. Craig) Miller, Colorado Springs, CO and Richard M. (Sharon) Damisch, Palatine, IL; grandchildren Brian and Brett Damisch, Jessica and Christopher Miller, Bridie and Timothy Damisch; brother Marvin Larson, Hendersonville, NC. Interment will be at the Memorial Washington Reformed Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Elgin, IL. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2011 at 11 a.m. at The Village Presbyterian Church, 1300 Shermer Road, Northbrook, IL.
