Jean Hartwell Obituary

Jean L. Hartwell, 78, loving wife of the late Willis E. ''Bud'' Hartwell, of Elgin, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2006 in her home. She was born Jan. 30, 1928 in Chicago, the beloved daughter of the late George T. and Jesse O. (Howard) Osborne. She had lived in Elgin for the past 12 years and she was an avid little league baseball fan and loved sewing. She bowled in the Chicago WIBC for six years. Loving mother of Susan J. (Michael) Kilgore of Schiller Park, IL, Timothy E. (Susan) Hartwell of Brown Deer, WI, Thomas M. (Cheryl) Hartwell of Elgin, Theodore L. Hartwell of Arlington Heights, Forrest L. ''Woody'' (Regina) Hartwell of Peoria, IL, Todd A. Hartwell of Elgin and the late Terrance Hartwell; grandmother of 10; sister of Howard Osborne, Shirley Dove and the late George Osborne. Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2006 in the Laird Funeral Home, 310 S. State St., Elgin. Burial will follow in Lakewood Memorial Park, Elgin. Visitation will be held on Monday, Sept. 4 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Provena St. Joseph Hospice. Information, call 847-741-8800.
