Jennifer Bisciotti Obituary

Jennifer Joan Bisciotti (nee Crawford), 54; Columbus, OH native, prior resident of Suffolk, VA and current Chicagoan; died in the peace of her home surrounded by loved ones, after living for three years with breast cancer. Jennifer was born to the late Herman and Joan Crawford. She attended Bishop Watterson and The Ohio State University. She was a devoted and loving mother to her beloved son Julian. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Mark. Jen will be remembered lovingly by family members and friends including siblings Ann, Kathleen (Leo Lackey), Christine (Stefano Agostini), and Amy (Anita Marella); sister-in-law Kim Crawford; nine beloved nieces and nephews; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends, like Rocky and Marilyn Wirtz, Elizabeth Queen, Heidi Wiedeman and Scott Bisciotti. Jen had an unmatched zest for life and enthusiasm for others, frequently exhibited by simple acts of kindness and spontaneous moments of music and dance. She gave of herself abundantly and in return she was loved by so many. Julian was her life, and she poured her energy into giving him all the love and happiness that a parent could provide. A funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Chicago on Saturday, February 27. Visitation begins at 9:30am (all are welcome). Mass at 11am (pre-registration required; also viewable live online at https://www.facebook.com/OLMCChicago). Arrangements by Cremation Society of Illinois, 773-281-5058 or www.cremation-society.com.

Many people live and die but regrettably few leave a tangible and lasting legacy.
Jennifer, in her few short years, left a rich and lasting legacy of love in the lives she touched, most especially, as a Big Shoulders Fund Gallagher mentor at St. Ferdinand School. Her life and memory will continue to nourish those who were blessed to know her and will inspire those who follow in the legacy of loving service to others that she left us as an example.
She will be missed because she truly loved.
With sincere condolences to her family and circle of friends but most of all to the real love of her life, Julian.
May the Mother of God Herself welcome Jennifer into the paradise promised to all those who believe in Mary's divine Son Jesus; and to all those who truly love others as Jennifer did so selflessly and so joyfully.
How blessed are we to have known her.

Jennifer was a beautiful, spirited friend whom I spent some of my favorite times when we both lived in Columbus, OH. I will always remember her sense of humor, her stories, her laughter and her love of friends and family. I'm honored to have spent some beautiful times with her. Locally, I have a Mass intention in Jennifer's memory. May she rest in the arms of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and her family members who passed before her.
