Jerome Michael Stachniw

Jerome (Jerry) Michael Stachniw passed away peacefully in his sleep on March 25, 2021. He was born on April 25, 1926 in Ukraine and moved to the United States with his family in the late 1940's. He was quickly drafted to the US Army, then later worked at Great Lakes Naval Base. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, as well as his four brothers and one sister. He is survived by his wife Connie (Ziccarelli); daughters Kathy Gunn (Sean) and Suzie Park (Terry); grandchildren Cash, Vivian, Julianna, and Francesca; and nephews Myron (Reva), Roman, and Marko Stachniw. Jerry was well loved by all who met him. A visitation will be held on Friday, April 9, 2021 from 4-7 pm at Kelley and Spalding Funeral Home, 1787 Deerfield Rd, Highland Park, IL 60035. A reservation is required to attend the visitation, please visit the funeral website and pick a time to pay your respects. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, April 10, 2021 10:00 am at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 770 Deerfield Rd, Highland Park, IL 60035. Immaculate Conception is limiting attendance, so it is important to register prior to the service to determine availability, registration is on the funeral home's website.
