Joan Detlaf Obituary

Joan B. Detlaf, age 83, of Waukesha, WI, formerly of Chicago, died Monday, May 28, 2001, she was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Aloysius, her granddaughter, Samantha Detlaf, her brother Michael Lizik and her sister Helen Stack; she will be sadly missed by her three children, Barbara (Tom) Garibaldi of Waukesha, WI, Rosemary (Bernard) Dvorachek of Oshkosh, WI and John (Deborah) Detlaf of Huntley, IL; Joan is also survived by her seven grandchildren; her sister, Mary (Charles) Thiese of Chicago, IL; a brother-in-law, Roman Stack of Palos Heights, IL; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The Mass of Christian Burial for Joan will be held on Friday, June 1, 2001 at 10 a.m. at St. Beatrice Catholic Church in Schiller Park, IL. Visitation for Joan will be held Thursday, May 31, 2001, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Sax-Tiedemann Funeral Home & Crematorium, 9568 W. Belmont Ave., Franklin Park. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in River Grove, IL. Memorials in Joan's name may be directed to the Ronald McDonald House or to the Leukemia Society of America. www.sax-tiedemann.com 847-678-1950.
