Joanne (nee Lindgren) Heal, 92, of Winnetka, IL, passed away peacefully on December 1, 2020. Joanne was born on March 7, 1928 in Chicago, IL, born to the late Gust and Ellen Lindgren. She grew up in the Devon/Western neighborhood and graduated from the University of Illinois with a degree in Chemistry. A degree she utilized by working for the Evanston Water Department as their Chemist for 21 years. Joanne married Eugene Heal in 1956 and shortly after moved to Winnetka in 1960. She was a devoted mother to her children Leslie, Thane and Stacy (the late Chris) Ennis and a loving grandmother to Katie (Brian) Zohn, Jenny and Kiley Ennis. A lover of the Chicago Cubs and Bears; travel, church choir, Christmas cookies and martinis. Joanne lived a full life showing appreciation for her Meals on Wheels, the Shedd Aquarium and the Lincoln Park Zoo. She will be remembered for her marvelous cooking, trailblazing ways, and so much more.
