Skip,

Cathy and I will always remember Bickley & Bickley’s vigorous defense when I was sued by a drunk driver, who attacked me. The Colonel’s closing argument was outstanding. We will always remember him. He was a true American. Our condolences to you and your family. Master Sergeant Rick Pott, Illinois State Police (Ret)

John, I was very sorry to learn of your father's death and want to extend my sympathy to you and your family. I liked and admired him. He was a great Tavernite! And if I remember correctly, a fellow native Tennessean. He did our state proud.

Dear Anne, Skip, Lisa, and Katie,
I am so sorry for your loss. I would have been present at the wake or funeral if I had known. No one in the family told me, so I am truly sorry. John was always special to me from the first day I met him. He used to always call me his little rebel because of our "southern connection". He truly will be missed.

Lisa and family:

Eddie and I are so sorry for your loss. We only learned of your dad in the Sunday Tribune or we would have paid our respect in person.
May your memories and the love and support of your friends help you through this difficult time.
You are in our thoughts and prayers.
Love,
Eddie and Penny

Our deepest sympathy for your loss. Mr. Bickley had such a positive impression on my life that I will never forget. John's frequent statement to me was "SON I WILL MAKE A MARIANE OUT OF YOU YET". Although I never had the pleasure of meeting John's children and grandchildren the stories and love that your Father / Grandfather told me about you from childhood till today showed that he was very proud of you and loved you all. Ann each time John spoke of you that childish twinkle was in his eye, so sorry for your loss. John will always be remembered and honored by our family.

May God bless your family on this sad loss. My father, Bud Melvin, was a Marine with Mr. Bickley, and Mom told me that she had seen his obit. in the Tribune. She said that my Dad thought very highly of him, and that he was a wonderful Marine!
Sincerely, Maureen Melvin Christopher

Col. John Bickley was a great friend to my dad, Col. Marion Markey. Our families formed a bond like cousins & we moved in across the street from the Bickley's in Northbrook. After my father's death, that bond has stayed strong. Thank-you Bickley's for having a great Dad.

Col. Bickley was a friend to our family, especially to my father. I will not forget how he helped my father and my brother Tim deal with the many complexities they faced during my father's illness.
My sympathies to your family.

John was a wonderful man. He took on Farmers Insurance in my behalf. I was in dire need of help, as I was being attacked from all sides. I asked him to help, for payments monthly, and he replied,"You want me to start world war three with my money". He, of course relented and took them on and we won. I will always hold him dear in my heart. Joan Roberts
