John Vincent Damas
John Vincent Damas was born on September 17, 1940, in Chicago, Illinois to Jerry Stella Partenski and George Damas. He departed this life during the early morning hours of Tuesday, April 27, 2021. He was survived by his three children, Kelly, Chris, and Sarah and his younger brother Edward. Most people knew John as a shy introvert with an adventurous nature and great hair. Yet underneath his quiet exterior was a kind, witty, creative man whose talents sadly exceeded his opportunities. He was a fantastic story-teller and he was loved. May his next life be filled with even greater adventures.

I never had the pleasure of knowing John but I am so moved by the obituary in today's Tribune. Both honest and touching. I teared up reading it to my husband over breakfast.
