John "Jack" Anthony Litz, 82, and Virginia "Ginny" Anne Litz, 79, late of Long Beach, IN, peacefully passed away with their family by their sides. They were married 52 years, with Jack chasing Ginny for 5 years prior. They shared a wonderful life. Ginny passed away on October 13th, 2021, followed by Jack on October 20, 2021. They were only apart for 7 days.

Ginny was born in Chicago, IL to Catherine and Robert Collins on September 6, 1942. Ginny was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Her smile brought a ray of sunshine, and her kindness and generosity touched everyone she met. Over the years, Ginny volunteered for her children's school activities, church fundraisers, and Catholic charities. She enjoyed playing golf, tennis, bridge, and sewing with her many friends.

Jack was born in Chicago, IL to John and Anne Litz on December 25, 1938. Jack was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, and friend. His humor, storytelling, generosity, and laughter endeared him to everyone he met. Jack sang with the Paulist Choir of Chicago for 20 years and Paulist Alumni Chorale for over 40 years. He volunteered at church fundraisers and building wheelchair ramps for Catholic charities; he loved cooking, woodworking, a good sports wager, poker, classic cars, and a well poured Manhattan.

Ginny is preceded in death by her parents Catherine and Robert Collins, and her brother, William Collins. Jack is preceded in death by his parents John and Anne Litz, his sister, Janice Chmela, and his nephew Steven Chmela.

Ginny and Jack are survived by their 3 daughters, Julie Clark (Brian), Suzanne Litz, and Christine Curry (Trevor); their 6 beautiful grandchildren Rachel, Stacy, and Jack Clark, and TJ, Savannah, and Sierra Curry; and Ginny's 3 siblings, Robert Collins (Carese), JR Collins (Jeannie), Catherine McPartlin (Jim).

Visitation Monday, October 25th, 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday, October 26th, 8:30 a.m. until time of prayers, 9:30 a.m. at Sullivan Funeral Home, 60 S. Grant Street, Hinsdale, Illinois 60521 to Notre Dame Church, Clarendon Hills, Illinois. Funeral Mass, 10:00 a.m. Interment Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
