John,it´s been so long since you´ve been gone but it seems like yesterday. We all still miss you so much and remember you by sharing memories of you. Life is not the same since you´ve been gone.I miss the way you´d make time to talk to us and help solve our problems of life. Such a caring person. You will always live in my heart forever. I would not be where I am today without John. Not only did he give me the opportunity to work at Costco, but he gave me a second chance at life and always made me smile even on the worst days. He made it a point to ask me how I was doing and really make me feel good about myself. I sincerely miss you and thank you for all that you have given me.

I met John at a hotel we worked at when we were in our early 20's.we were tight as ticks.I did not hear the news until i wanted to invite him to my wedding.Iwill miss his laugh and smile about silly and serious things we shared...Bless you John and rest in peace.

I, sadly just found out about John's passing, and I am feeling terrible sadness. I ran into John at Costco 2 years ago & I was so excited to see him again after so many years, since we graduated high school. We grew up together in Hoffman Estates, we lived right across the Tropicana Swim club parking lot from each other. I remember walking to school with John, playing basketball, and hanging around the neighborhood with him, he had such a wonderful sweet demeanor, was always smiling & had such a gentle personality. My deepest sympathy to John's family & loved ones. I will never forget his kindness & bright infectious smile.

To the Malamos family, I am so sorry for your loss. I met John when we started shopping at Costco in 2002. He was always so friendly and kind to me. I would run into him from time to time and we always had great conversations. I saw him just before I left on my trip to Europe and promised him that we would discuss my trip when I saw him again. He has left a big hole in alot of peoples hearts but we are much richer for knowing him.

John you were the kindest man I ever met and the most compassionate. You were always willing to talk and support me no matter what the situation. Not only was I privileged to have you as my boss but more so as my friend. You gave me strength even when you were in need of it more and I can never thank you enough. Have NO doubt, John is now Home and in His care. John is witnessing first hand His Glory, Splendor and Majesty as he walks along the Streets of Gold (probably looking for the nearest Starbuck's!) having no reason any longer to be mad at Him. Although he has left a void in my heart my hope is in the His promise that we will be reunited with John again in Eternity.

I met John when joining Costco in 2002. He always greeted me with an infectious smile and we never failed to share a laugh together. More than just a co-worker; John was a great friend. It's rare to encounter someone as outgoing and compassionate as John. I remained in touch with him over the years and I was extremely saddened to hear of his passing. My thoughts and prayers are with the Malamos family during this difficult time.
