John Mannebach Obituary

John R Mannebach, age 97, Veteran WWII, beloved husband and best friend of Louise, nee Coughlin; loving father of John Mannebach Jr, Meg (Tom) McDonough, Rev. Thomas Mannebach, and Nancy (Joe) Mosko; proud grandfather to Mary, John, and Kate Mannebach, Carolyn McDonough Payne, Patrick McDonough, and Michael, Joe, and Katie Mosko. Dear brother to the late Mary Tarabilda, Edward Mannebach, Magdalen Wehmer, Majella Joyce, Michael Mannebach, Joseph Mannebach and Grace Dirksen; numerous loving nieces and nephews. John grew up in Kenilworth and attended St. George High School. He enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Corps and served in the Pacific. He attended Loras Collage and Illinois Benedictine. After graduating college, he went to work as an automotive manufacturer's representative. In 1957, he married the love of his life Louise and were together 63 years. John enjoyed playing golf and cards with his friends, and watching a good western, but he was happiest when he was with his wife, children, and grandchildren. Visitation Friday, May 5, 2023 9:00 a.m. until the time of Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 724 Elder Lane, Deerfield. IL 60015.
