John,
Returning from work one evening over a decade ago, I met you on the 52nd floor of Lake Point Tower. You were sitting, knees bent, on the floor, outside your condominium across the hall from us, locked out of your condo. Awaiting your spouse, we shared a cold beverage and a few good stories through which your warmth and sense of humor were immediate magnets. Though your life was cut short, your legacy as a caring, loving person and wonderful neighbor continue to live in us.

We were so sad to hear, today, of John and his two son's passing last year. We first met our neighbor, John, sitting on the hallway floor, locked out of his 52nd floor condominium. We invited him in for a drink awaiting Linda's return and quickly discovered what a special, caring, fun neighbor he was. His passion for the Blackhawks, particularly during those two Stanley Cup seasons, was extraordinary and provided fodder for lively banter between John and his Blackhawks and Connie and her Flyers. As we became better acquainted, we discovered what a strong, close, fun-loving family the Weavers were. Though we left Lake Point Tower 6 years ago, John and Linda have been in our thoughts many times since. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. --- Ken and Connie McCorkle
