We lost a giant on Labor Day. Joe Farrell was a wonderful man loved by so many. He was blessed to have such a loving and incredible family. I am so very fortunate to have met Joe sixty years ago and have Joe and the Farrell family as friends. We will miss him terribly. God bless the Farrells and help them through this difficult time. The Sullivan family will be praying for them.

Joe Farrell was a decent caring man who adored his family and was always there for his grandchildren. I watched him play football at Mendel and Notre Dame. Joe was quick and had those magnetic hands. It looked easy from the stands. Loved his kindness and smile. Another great trait is that Joe would never say or talk about someone unless it was something good. Joe will be missed by so many of his friends. God Bless you Joan and your entire Family. Love Carolyn and Larry Doody

If we all had Joe’s personality traits that include vibrancy, a ready smile, determination, magnetism, optimism & others, the world would be a better place. We all know that one man can make a positive difference. That man was Joe Farrell. It has been my privilege to be a small part of his life. God Bless Him!

To Joanie and all the Farrell family: How lucky to have a gentle giant with his Mom's sense of humor and an overwhelming adoration of a tiny Italian beauty, and his Dad's work ethic. Joe was a lovely man who I didn't know well, but was always delighted to talk to. Hard to watch our old, neighborhood friends leave us. Peace and Love to you all.

Joe, will be sadly missed but we will never forget his kindness, stories and happy face. A Notre Dame football game could not be complete unless we stopped by Joe and Joans tailgate party . It truly was a welcoming get together for both new and old friends. I played with Joe under Era and we certainly shared some good times both on the field and off. We are glad he was surrounded by his loving family. Our condolences to Joan and the rest of the family. Arunas and Patricia Vasys
