Westerkamp, (nee Nieman), 85, of Lombard, beloved wife of Thomas A.; loving mother and matriarch of John (Lori), Thomas (Patty), Catherine (Joseph) Payne, James (Donna), Julia (Dan) Rinaldi, Robert (Kim), Anne Westerkamp, Laura (Joe) Senese, Christopher (Christine), Theresa Birmingham and the late Stephen; cherished grandmother of Rachel (fiance' Alex), Jacob, T.J. (Jessica), Michael, Jacqueline, Lauren (Josh), Kevin, Amber (Casey), Dr. Jacob, Kelly, Ryan, Michelle, Amanda (Patrick), Rebecca, Samantha (John), Sara (Casey), Anthony ( finace' Megan), Emily (Cody), Hannah, Clare, Martha, Jenny. Tim (Kate), Patrick, Jimmy (Maggie), Matthew (Stephanie), Jack, Trinity (Dennis) K.C. (Lindsay), Cootie (Sam), Christian (Zoe), Jordan (fiance' Cristina), Aaron, Antoinette (Angelo), Laura (Derek), Francesca, Sophia, Holly, Jack, Joey, Tommy, Nia, Quiana, Daisa; adored great grandmother of Ben, Reid, Emily, Aiden, Jackson, Riley, Amelia, Charlotte, Zoe, Noah, Natalie, Sean, Lillian, Abigail, Katerina, Anasofia, Isabella, Charlie, Oliver, Adeline. Betsy, Gabriel, Melanie, Madison, Elon, Mateo, Jake, Ben, Mackenzie, Lucas, Anne, Chase, Beckham, Harper, Jameson, Brooklyn, Chloe, Tirigio and Rayani; dear sister of Marsha Friedman, and the late Beverly (the late Vern) and the late Tom Nieman; special aunt to many nieces and nephews and devoted friend of many. Surrounded by her loving family, Joyce was called to be with our heavenly Father on October 22, 2022. Truly an incredible woman, who built an astounding legacy of devotion to family, strength and endless love, along side her dear husband of 66 years. We will carry Joyce in our hearts forever and pray that she is resting peacefully with Stephen in her arms. Visitation Wednesday October 26, 2022 from 3-8 P.M. at Knollcrest Funeral Home 1500 S. Meyers Road, Lombard. Family and friends are asked to meet Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church 114 S. Elizabeth, Lombard for a 10 A.M. Funeral Mass. There will be an hour of visitation at the Church from 9 A.M. to 10 A.M. Interment Queen of Heaven Cemetery. Info 630-932-1500.
