June Travis Friedlob, nee Grabiner, 93, daughter of Dorothy and Harry Grabiner (former Vice-President of the Chicago White Sox), wife for 39 years of the late Chicago businessman Fred Friedlob, 25 year companion of the late River North gallery owner Erwin Gruen; mother to Kate and June, Jr. To know June was to love her. She touched the lives of everyone she came into contact with; and will be missed by many, many friends and family, as well as the entire theatre community. Memorial contributions in June's name to The Sarah Siddons Society, or The Chicago Associates of Stratford Shakespere Festival, would be appreciated. Private family entombment.
