June E. O'Donnell, age 94, former resident of Highland Park, IL peacefully passed away surrounded by family on Monday, July 26, 2021. June was born on July 4, 1927, in Evanston, Illinois to Hudson and Dale (Coyne) Daugherty. After graduating New Trier High School in 1945, she attended Northwestern University. June married Frank P. O'Donnell on June 17th, 1950. June was a former member of Thorngate/Ivanhoe Golf Club and was an accomplished bridge player. Her other interests included books, movies, music, theatre, wildlife, swimming, and travel. June loved to spend time with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren, great-grandchildren. She was loved by all. June is survived by her children Mike O'Donnell, Sue (John) Brown, Nancy (Ken) Juncer, Tom (Jodie) O'Donnell, Patty (Jeff Pearce) O'Donnell; grandchildren, Cindy (Michael) Thomas, Kristy (Gary) Odden, Shaun Brown, Shannon Wiley, Nick Gust, Shelbie Myers and Meagan (Jed) Everson; great-grandchildren, Tyler Strutzel, Dakota Wiley, Aiden and Mya Gust, Brayden, Jackson, and Kylie Kilough; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank; son, Steve; and sister, Pat Ebbert. There will be a family celebration of June's life.
