We'll miss Karen. We've known her since the '80's when our daughters were in class together at the Kirk Center and participated in the special Olympics. They were also roommates at St. Coletta at San Damiano. Karen was a special person with a kind heart and a determination to help others. We've missed seeing her recently, but she and Bernie have been in our thoughts. Our sincere condolences to her family. We hope good memories sustain you and bring you comfort.

Karen was a one of a kind and I have missed her since moving to Upstate NY. She was a family advocate when we were foster parents but she was so much more. She was bright, sensitive, quick-witted and a wonderful friend. I am so sorry the world has lost this bright light but so glad God can have her close to Him--no doubt she is asking how she can be of service, and I'm sure His face lit up when she arrived. I know seeing Karen always delighted me and I smile thinking of her now...
