Karen, you and your family have been in my thoughts and prayers every day since I heard of your passing. I fondly remember our Boylan days together; our football game adventures with Beth, Carol, and Kris, your laugh, your smile, and for some reason your blue clogs. When I first met Karen she was a great ICU nurse...I had the privilege of working with her on Trauma Nurse Specialist course...karen was a great caring compassionate instructor...you will be a very missed person...I am so glad I met you and knew you...rest in peace my friend...Janet Moore

Karen is that special nurse who was called earlier to prepare for all those sweet angels from Sandy Hook school. Know that she is taking special care of all of them and that is why God needed her and her team.

Karen you will be greatly missed.. your presence always lit up the swim deck whenever you were around. You definitely will be missed at all swim functions we have... especially having fun treats after practice on special occassions for the swimmers!! Karen You will be missed. U were there for me when I was doing my hours in the e.r dept for my emt training. U cheered me on. And u were there when I lost my hubby Brian and my dad in the same month of sept last year. U listened and held me when I cryed. And said days will be better in time I will be there if u need me . We at RMH family will miss you There will be a hole in the hospital were u were But our sprit will be there cheering us all on. My prays are with you Scott and your family.Rember children how wonderful your mom was and now a wonderful angel taking care of us from heaven.

My heart is broken at the loss of such a wonderful person. It has been a long time since I have seen Karen, but I will never forget my days in EMT training with Karen. I just loved her wit, attitude and knowledge. And to my co-worker, Scott, my deepest condolences to you and the girls and your families. I know that not just one React Angel will watching over you but all three. May God hold you strong. Karen will never be forgotten and her kind and courageous acts will always hold a place in my heart.

To Karen's friends and family, While I did not know Karen personally I want to express my sincerest condolences to all who loved her. The REACT team at RMH is the reason I have my son with me today. I went into labor at 28 weeks. I vividly remember when the team got to my home hospital to transfer me to RMH a smiling woman saying My name is Karen and we will take good care of you. And they did. My beautiful son is now 8. They came down in the middle of a snowstorm to be able to take care of me. No words can properly express my gratitude. My family's prayers are with you.
