Kathleen Dalmer Obituary

Kathleen Dalmer, loving wife, mother, sister, and aunt, and a dear friend to many, died April 3, 2022, in New Lenox after a short illness at the age of 78. Born Kathleen Ann Miller in Chicago's Marquette Park neighborhood on November 27, 1943 to Eleanor and Edward Miller, she later graduated from Harper High School and attended business school. In 1968, Kathleen married Bert Dalmer and they became life partners. The couple moved to the southwest suburbs, where they raised two boys. Kathleen served as the trusted comptroller for Scheck Industries for 30 years, retiring in 2016. Kathleen was known for her wit, generosity, and her love of the English language, but she had no greater love than her grandson, Jake, with whom she enjoyed many special moments and donuts. She is survived by her husband, Bert; sons Bert (Holly) and Jason; siblings John Miller (Marcia, deceased), Ed Miller (Joyce) and Pat Warman (Tom); and cousin Jeanne Millaney (Jim, deceased). Visitation Friday 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the Robert J. Sheehy & Sons Funeral Home, 9000 W. 151st Street, Orland Park, IL.
