14 years. My beautiful friend, I still can´t find adequate words to describe how much light and laughter you added to the world and how much you are missed.
All my love always. I hope we see each other again.

Dear Kathy: I miss you very much. You are someone that I miss dearly, and will never ever forget. Your spirit lit up the room. Your tenacity was inspiring. Your hug was felt to the bone. You were a fighter, and while I'm so very sad that you are no longer with us on this earth, I know for a fact that you were needed elsewhere. So do your work kiddo, smiling your smile, sharing your kind words, and just being you. Your beautiful and exhuberant - you! xoxox AS

Dear Friends and Family of Kathy.
I just met Kathy a short time ago here at Rush. I was totally impressed with her, beauty, confidance and how smart she was. (I should say Brillance!) She was as beautiful on the outside as she was on the inside. She had a kind and tender nature about her. I loved to talk with her about her love of animals. I will always remember her cheerful smile, pretty dresses and outgoing personality. My sympathy to you in your loss. She will be greatly missed.

I went to IHM with Kathy. She was such a unique individual with a very big heart. She touched so may lives, and so many hold dear memories of her, I wonder if she was aware of how much her self confidence and caring helped others. She will be missed. I am sure her family and those she cares about have a guardian angel watching over them.

I went to high school with Kathy and I will never forget her confidence, kindness, brilliant sense of humor and awesome taste in music. She had the power to make me feel good while I was fighting my cancer at 17. Thank you Kathy for introducing me to Lou Reed among other cool artists and your one of a kind version of the Rocky Horror Picture Show Time Warp in class. Above all Kathy thanks for being my friend and I know you are an angel now watching down on all of us.

Lynch family, i went ot IHM with Kathy. She was a free spirited young lady who did things her way. Although we fell out of touch as we all left high school, she was still a part of our lives. She will be greatly missed.

Kathy was truly a gift to all of us who had the honor of knowing her. I remember her fondly from IHM and was extremely sad to learn of her passing. She brought many smiles to my days in high school. I hope her family and close friends are comforted by the fact that she touched so many of our lives in such a positive way. She is gone way too young but she will never be forgotten.

My condolences to the Lynch Family and Friends. I graduated with Kathy at IHM. She was someone who was not afraid to be herself, with her mohawk, combat boots and friendly smile. I am deeply saddened to hear of her passing, but was proud to hear of her many accomplishments after graduation. She will be greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you. ‘Our loved ones are never truly gone because they live on in our hearts.’

I can still see Kathy walking the halls of IHM with her Mohawk, combat boots and catholic school uniform. Our high school years were filled with good times and I am glad Kathy was a part of them. She was something special - funny, unique, witty and truly genuine. She never judge, always had a smile and what a great laugh. We are all saddened by her passing but can hold tight to our special memories Her spirit will live on.....

If my articulate friend Kathy was here to help me with this guest book message, I can promise it would be beatifully worded. I extend my condolences to all the family, colleagues and close friends of Kathy. If there is an existence beyond this, I hope Kathy is still thinking in cartoons and laughing until her belly hurts.

To the Lynch Family - How sad I am to hear of Kathy's death, but how grateful I am that she was able to attend our D.P. 25 yr reunion. It was so great to see her after all these years and catch up with each other. She impacted all she met and I know how she was excited to buy her house in Berwyn and move on with the next phase of her life. What memories we have of her!! God bless her and all of you during this difficult time.

With our Moms being such friends forever, growing up being 11 years older than Kathy I never really knew her that well. She did teach me something however and my fondest memory of Kathy was very recently during a visit to her house this summer. Not really knowing each other but each of us knowing how well our Moms knew each other, she really made me feel at home. She gave me the grand tour of her house which she was so proud of. She struck me as such a gracious person with such a strong and fighting spirit. She was so truly appreciative for such a small and simple favor that it really made me remember that I too need to be more appreciative about my life. During her tremendous struggle she remained so strong, gracious, and kind that I will always be reminded me of what's really important in life when I think of Kathy. I am grateful to her for that and will always have a spot in my heart for her. Pat Campe

The first time I saw Kathy she had the very same smile and a fabulous multicolored shock of hair- yet it was her wonderful personality that made her a stand out. I will always remember her as that teenager- so ready to take on the world. To her family, her friends and all who miss her- I am so very sorry for your loss.

To the Lynch family,

Like many clinicians at Rush, I really admired Kathy. She had a true Ranaissance quality. That is she had interests in science, arts & culture. She was also very articulate and wry. Moreover she was beautiful as evidenced by your photo here. In essence, I'm very sorry for your loss.

Good-bye my dear love and cherished companion, my co-conspirator and favorite dinner partner of 19 years. I never forgot the first moment I heard only your laugh in a darkend bar (yes, you were underage). I did not know you yet. I never forgot our first conversation (content redacted here, I'm afraid) when introduced by a mutual friend in a high rise on Lake Shore drive, or the first time we dined out together and laughed over the sensuouly expressive matre'd as he described what was a delicious Lebanese meal, and you freely began to share your life- both past and future with me. Such was our friendship for 19 years. None of it forgetable, all of it cherished.

To Kathy's family and friends,
Kathy was sunshine and smiles, she nurtured us with healthy snacks, she inspired us with her biking into work, she made a difference in so many small ways. We were so looking forward to her coming back to work and slowly easing into her schedule. She touched so many hearts of coworkers, patients and their families. She will be missed and we were very lucky to have her as long as we did. Love and Peace to all of Kathy's family and friends.
