I went to grammar school at Caldwell Elementary in South Shore with Larry and his brother Howard. I remember playing sports and getting ice cream at Rainbow cone with larry and his family. We were in boy scouts together if I recall correctly. More recently, we re-connected at our school reunion (where he was the best and youngest looking person there) and I learned of how passionate Larry was about cycling. The last communication I had was about his cycling trip to southern illinois. My condolences to Larry's family. He was a good friend and he will be missed.

I will long remember how Larry was friendly to me. I appreciated his inviting me to his home to watch the tour. Larry was great to ride with, especially because he was willing to get in front and pull. He was in such good shape it is hard to believe he isn't still out riding his bike. He is missed and I am glad he was doing something he loved.

Larry was a good guy. He was so proud to pull the Wheelmen wagon full of toys to the Toys for Tots pickup. I told him he could always do this. Will miss him

I worked with Larry at Village CycleSport in Arlington Heights for a while. Prior to that I had met him through some Wheeling Wheelman rides (although I was not a member). I also lived a few miles from on a loop that he rode frequently from his house and met him several times for that. Our mutual passion for cycling brought us together. He was a great guy and he will be missed. RIP L2. Tailwinds....
