LEONARD WILLER Obituary

Leonard C. Willer, age 89, passed away April 8 in Portland, OR, after a prolonged illness. He grew up in LaGrange, IL. He was a B-24 pilot with Chennault's 308th Bomb Group in WWII, flying 57 combat missions including supply runs over the Burma Hump between China and India. After the war he worked for ComEd for over 40 years as a lineman and later a supervisor, while raising his family in Hillside, IL. After retiring in 1986, he and his wife moved to Portland, OR. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Anne, nee Walsh; five children, Noreen (Augie) Sisco, of Downers Grove, IL, Barbara Willer (Madeleine Mader) and Margaret Willer of Portland, Chuck (Alison Clement) of Corvallis, OR, Steve (Tonia Wolf), Grass Valley, CA; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. A military service and burial is being held on April 22 at the Willamette National Cemetery followed by a celebration of his life at Eastmoreland Golf Club, Portland.
