In My Pocket
I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.
My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.
They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.
Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.
But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

I am very sorry that Lida left us without having an opportunity to say good bye. But I am not sure she would have liked us to come to see her... she was very proud of herself. She was for many of us who knew the old days of Belle Meade one of the “Grande Dames” that was part of the Spirit of the neighborhood in that time.
On the other hand I believe she is now watching over us. Her memory will remain in my mind until the end of my life. Lida did not have an easy life but she was an example on how one can make his life "good" just by looking at the good side of what we have left.
With much love and sadness.
Not to mention I will miss the taste of her Italian Soup.

Dear Lou & Cindy & Familiys,
Fond memories of Lida and Max dancing up a storm at the local social dances in Highwood and the night was not complete unless Lida sang her signature song, "MARINA". God comfort you in your sorrow.Remember the good times.
