Lisa O'Brien,70, of Beverly passed away Dec. 20th at home surrounded by her family. Beloved wife for 44 years of Bill Garmes. Loving mother of Kelley (Jeffrey) Ciraulo, Kyle (Brigitte) Garmes, Megan (Daniel) Styler and Lauren (Scott) Heidemann. Dear grandmother of Thomas, Abigail, Elliott, Mary, William, Grace, Annaliese, Dani, Leo, Teddy, Madelyn and the late Nieve O'Brien Garmes. Sister of Terrence, Cynthia, Laura, Brian, Nina, Vanessa and the late Diana. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Lisa was the co-founder of the Beverly Breast Cancer Walk and served on the Beverly Montessori School Board; she was active in many organizations in Beverly/Morgan Park. Graduate of Christ the King Elementary School, Mother McAuley High School and earned degrees from the Univ. of Illinois, Stanford University, and DePaul University. Lisa enjoyed a successful career at IBM. Memorial Visitation Tuesday, Jan 4th at St. Barnabas Church 10134 S. Longwood Dr. Chicago from 3-8 p.m. Memorial Mass Wednesday Jan. 5th 10 a.m. at St. Barnabas Church, a live stream of the mass will be available using the link, https://www.asimplestreaming.com/lmobrien. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation at https://www.jdrf.org/.
