Lois was my mentor and my role model. She was my supervisor in my first job after graduating with a Masters in Social Work. She was an extraordinary, wise and beautiful human being. I still quote her and the brilliant insights she had. I kept in touch with her every year at the holidays and worried when I didn´t hear again last year or this so checked to see if there was an obituary. I am saddened by her loss.

Lois was my first supervisor when I worked at EPCHS. Her wisdom, encouragement & support as I began my career helped me develop as a School Psychologist and later as an administrator. I remember her as a caring educator who impacted the lives of both students and staff during her career.

Ms Skillen was my counselor ( and a good one ). On more than one occasion she stood by me and supported me. Lois Skillen took on the entire administration of epchs and went to bat for me ( and won). For that and more I´ll always have a place in my heart for her. Bill Yukich class of 1961

Lois was the head of the Evergreen Park H. S. counseling department where I worked for 29 years until 1994. She was excellent in her job and respected by many students and residents for many years. She was always available to help students and staff. She will always be in our memories. Our condolences and greetings to any of the graduates and friends who may read this.
