My condolences to all of the Park family.
Loyal was one of the most successful Head baseball coaches in Harvard history. All of us who played for Loyal learned an endless list of life lessons, baseball skills, knowledge, and love & respect for the game.
We also learned from seeing the values he displayed every day. He was always prepared to conduct the most thorough, active, and fun practices we could ever hope for. Nobody outworked Loyal.
It was fortunate for me that we both ended up in Chicago, where we could reconnect and further develop our relationship as adults. I always respected Loyal, but that respect grew even more as I continued to see his love for family, kids, teaching and coaching continue even when his bad hips crippled his walk.
Thank you for everything, Loyal. You meant the world to me. I will be forever grateful.

Loyal was a great coach and a good man. He taught me a lot of baseball. His attention to detail was awe inspiring and it often made the difference between a win and a loss. My heart felt condolences go out to his family.

Loyal Park was a great man. He taught at the Northfield Park District both Baseball and Football for many years. Many students really appreciated all his expertise in both these sports. My thoughts are with his family. Positive thoughts going your way!

My sympathies on your loss. Coach Park was a
good man and an honest man. I always liked to hear stories about him and my Uncle, Louis "Sonny" Yakopec playing baseball together in the Pittsburgh area.

Loyal was a dedicated coach, committed to teaching the fundamentals, preparing in detail for every possibility which may arise in a game. His record speaks for his ability and effectiveness leading Harvard to an enviable record in both season and post season play. We are all thankful for the time we had together and express our sincere condolences to his family
