Margaret Mary Connolly

Margaret Mary Connolly, returned to God on March 2, 2023 at the age of 75; longtime resident of Wheaton; cherished daughter of the late Bernard J. and the late Margaret Connolly; dear sister of Kathleen (the late Jack) McSweeney and Frances (the late John) Leen and the late Bernard (the late Joanne) Connolly, James (Peg) Connolly and Robert (Mary) Connolly; dear aunt of many nieces and nephews. Peg was an accomplished professional. She completed her degree at Clark College, Dubuque, Iowa and her law degree at Kent College of Law at IIT. Her career proved her to be an award winning sales agent the computers and telecommunications with many large global companies. Peg was a loving member of the Connolly family, taking her mom into her home after the death of her dad, Bernard and cared for Margaret until her passing in 1987. Peg continued to live a quiet life dealing bravely with multiple illnesses until her death. Visitation Monday, 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Gibbons Funeral Home, 134 South York Road, (1/2 mile North of Saint Charles Road), Elmhurst. Friends and family will meet for a Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Saint Daniel the Prophet, 101 West Loop, Wheaton. Interment Mount Carmel Catholic Cemetery, Hillside.
