Maria Bondi

1941 - 2017

Age 76 years. Born into Eternal Life Saturday, December 16, 2017, joining her parents Renato and Ines Focati. Loving and devoted wife of 53 years to Sergio. Caring mother of Jeffrey (Dana) Bondi and Amy (Lenny) Galasso. Proud Nonna of Jason Bondi; and Nicholas, Catherine (Cate), and Elizabeth Galasso. She is also preceded and remembered by many other relatives, and many dear friends. Maria was a supportive and devoted wife and mother; and a friend to many.  Her caring and compassionate nature will be truly missed by her family and all who knew her.  She was the pillar of her family, and her passing will leave a void in our hearts. Her passion in life was her family and her friends.  Always, she was trying to get family and friends together in any way she could.  She loved planning parties, and she threw quite a few in her day.  Maria was a terrific cook and she also shared her love with food; such as hosting dinner parties and always wanting to cook that favorite meal that each of us enjoyed. Maria was the woman behind the success of her husband's business.  Through good times and tough times, she always had faith and backed Sergio in his endeavors which allowed him the opportunity to succeed.  She raised her children, Jeff and Amy with loving hands and words; and she sought to instill in them a commitment to family and friends, and to be giving.  She loved her son-in-law and daughter-in-law as if they were her own children, and would enjoy many conversations with them.  And of course the grand children, she loved them dearly and cherished every opportunity to be with them; and would spoil them like no other Nonna would.  Maria loved to travel, and she looked very much forward to spending time every year with friends and family in both Italy and Arizona.  Although we are all sad that Maria is not here with us, she would not want us to be sad - but rather, she would want us to go and spend time with those we love and cherish. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 22nd at QUEEN OF APOSTLES CATHOLIC CHURCH, N35 W23360 Capitol Dr. Pewaukee, WI from 9:30 AM until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 AM.
