I just learned about Mark's passing, and was so shocked. I never met him personally but he assisted a friend/client of mine with a tax problem, and I was so impressed with Mark's energy, knowledge and professionalism. I am so sorry for his family, and pray that each of Mark's loved ones has as much peace as possible.

I just learned of the death of your beloved son. Altho it's over 2 years, as a Mother who had to bury a child too early, I know it is never too late to send condolences and acknowledge a life that will live forever in your memory.

My dad was the best father I could have ever had. We had many fun times together, with my mom, my dad, and I and also just him and I, and in many ways my dad and I were very much alike. While right now the memories are very painful because it's so hard to believe that he is gone forever, eventually remembering the memories we had together will make me happy. It's so nice to read how much my dad was loved by everyone.
Mark was also a very much loved uncle to all of my cousins. When I put the obituary in the Chicago Tribune the day after he passed away, I was not thinking very clearly and I forgot to mention that he was a very much loved uncle. We all know that he was but I still wanted to mention so everyone who reads this Guest Book knows. I miss my father very much. Mark Howard Meltzer's memory lives on in me and I will make sure he is never forgotten.

Mark will surely be missed. He had an unforgettable personality and energy and always made me laugh. Although I only worked with Mark for a short time, I have many memories that bring a smile to my face. He loved his family greatly; you have my deepest sympathies.

I will miss Mark a lot. I am CPA who relocated from Mt. Prospect to Florida and I enjoyed the exchanges that I had with Mark over back home and working and living here in Florida. Mark was a very dedicated person who contributed much to the Florida CPA community. I am forever grateful for his forthright honesty and generosity. It was a honor to have known him.
May he rest in peace where many of my Chicago area friends lie.

Dear Vera,
Mark was a true gentleman with a great sense of humor. He always portrayed a deep love for his family. Mark's years in the accounting profession provided him with tremendous knowledge and understanding of accounting and tax work. He was a friend and Board colleague of the Southwest Florida Chapter FICPA. I will miss him. My prayers are with you in this time of sorrow.
