Marshall Carl "Marsh" Mussay, of Glenview, died December 10, 2020. He was 96. On January 13, 1924, Marsh was born to Carl and Elizabeth (Kozlowski) Mussay in Chicago's Belmont-Cragin neighborhood. He graduated from Steinmetz High School in 1942. In March of 1943 he was inducted into the Army's 69th Infantry Division, engaged at the link-up between American and Russian forces at the Elbe River in April, 1945.
After his return in 1946, he graduated from the University of Illinois in 1950. On August 2, 1952, Marsh married June Branding of Granite City, Illinois. The bulk of his professional career was in machine tool sales, first at E.L. Essley and later at MCM Machinery, his own business.
Marsh was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Janet; a brother, Donald Mussay; and a sister, Virginia Grizzaffi. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, June; daughters Jill (Allan) Ruter of Glenview and Judy (Mark) McDonald of Spring Hill, KS; sons Jeffrey (Pam Collins) of Chicago and Michael (Antoinette) of Grayslake; and 12 cherished grandchildren.
