My condolences to the Bergerson Family and directly to Sue Ellen, his lovely wife. I had the privelege to meet them both during the 1992 "Weekend in the Woods" party in Long Beach. Colleagues from Carol College brought us together i.e. Kevin Bryne, and relatives like Therese Lysaught, the Hogans, etc. Amazing to this day, is that we have stayed in touch and care for one another. A Seagram salute is in order- Jameson and a 2 finger salute!

Dear Suellen,
On a family vacation when we heard the sad news.
What great memories of Marty I have! Golf at LBCC, pre-Cub games, many times spent shooting the breeze. Marty would always pull you aside, and ask "how's things?"
My favorite ever is the memory of the first night game at Wrigley, 8-8-88. Marty brought chateaubriand to grill on the backyard Weber at the Everleigh Club to celebrate the occasion! What a gesture.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to you and the rest of all the Bergy's
Love,
Michael and Denise Schuba

Suellen and Family,
Marty was such a joy to Colleen and I. We are so sad to see him go. Next month we have a mass before the JCU Board meeting and I will be sure the Jesuits remember our dear friend and JCU graduate
Marty. He would be so happy to know the Jesuits are remembering Marty in their prayers. May He Rest In Peace!

My dear Suellen. You have lost your love and I have lost my pal. Since our early 20's, and that was a while back, Mart and I shared many a laugh, powerful conversations about the value of family and friends, how proud he was of his children and enamored with his grandchildren. He made people feel special. He made me feel I was the only person in the room, during our many chats, surrounded by revelers at Christmas gatherings or Cubs games. He will be missed dearly by this girl. I know God, and all the saints in Heaven, welcomed him, and surrounded him with outstretched arms and maybe a pint! We are there for you, Suellen. Love,Eileen Semrow Nash.
