Marvin D. Dixton, age 92, formerly of Chicago and Winnetka; well respected manager for 57 years with International Harvester; beloved husband for 47 years of the late Audrey, nee Duchen; loving father of Paula (Robert J. Romero) Dixton. Marvin was lovingly cared for by Lana and Kate, as well as the caring and thoughtful staff at the Whitehall of Deerfield. Service Monday, 11:00 a.m. at The Chapel, 8851 N. Skokie Blvd., Skokie (at Niles Center Rd.). Interment Memorial Park Cemetery. Paula:
I wish to thank you for your kindness and effort put into your dads funeral. It was a fine tribute to a great man.
I enjoyed working with Marv for many years at IH, Dresser and Komatsu. He had a wealth of knowledge and a fun person to be around. I never knew anyone that did not like him.
I wish you peace and comfort in these times of sorrow. It is quite a burden to lose both parents within a year.
I will keep in touch.
