Mary Bloomberg Obituary

Peacefully and with great dignity Mary Ann Bloomberg (Perme), 82, passed away after a long period of illness on Monday, December 31, 2012 at the Meighan Manor nursing home in Toronto. Mary Ann was born on January 13, 1931 in Chicago, Illinois. She was the beloved wife of the late Dr. Max-Louis Bloomberg - Mary Ann and Max met at the Michael Reese Hospital in Chicago where she was working as a young nurse and he a resident. Together they established a large and thriving family practice clinic in the east end of Montreal from 1957 to 1997. She was a wonderful mother to Sylvia, Natasha, and Jacob and his wife Louise and a much loved grandmother to Alexandra Hopkinson, Elia Bloomberg Araujo, Jefferson Hopkinson, Matthew Boutin-Bloomberg and Eric Boutin-Bloomberg. She was a dear sister to Janet and Henry Warner, and Carl and Kathy Nolting. Mary Ann will always be remembered for her gentle, caring and loving way as a mother, wife and nurse. Thank you to the dedicated and caring staff at the Meighan Manor. A private cremation will be held with family. In Mary Ann's memory donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society of Ontario or The Salvation Army. Online condolences may be made at www.MountPleasantGroup.com
