So sorry to hear of Mary´s passing! We were friends at St. Louis, Michigan High School, 4-H Club together and our parents and families were all good friends. Mary had a big family as well as my Davidson family. The last time that I saw her was a visit with her in Chicago. She was a very nice, intelligent and sincere person! Sorry to her family!

Mary was truly a remarkable person. Happy for Roy to have found such a soulmate, but sad that it ended too soon. Hope you find peace and joy in your shared memories.

To Roy and the Lipscomb and Grover Families: I have known Roy as a member of Clean Count Cook County, an election protection group, but, unfortunately, had neither the honor nor the privilege of knowing Mary. Roy has said she had been an inspiration for his activism, so I believe that she had a great concern for people and the Earth, and hers, then, is a legacy of which you can all be proud. She will most certainly be missed by so many, and may her memory be a blessing to them all. With sincere sympathy, Chaya Rubenstein

Mary had the kind of strength that did not require loudness or shows of force. She shared truth in a voice like I was looking for my glasses and she said with a gentle smile, "They are right there; on your head." Roy and Grover family, I am so sorry for your loss.

Mary and I first met as freshmen at Loyola University. She was a good and true friend and particularly influenced my choice of favorite authors. She will be missed.

We had sparkling and zestful conversations, I wish that we had many more... Mary had a great heart. This world needed a lot more of what Mary had. May she rest in peace. Alan
