Mary Papadakis Obituary
Mary Papadakis nee Stavroulakis, age 97, of Chicago formerly of Crete, Greece, passed away September 11, 2016. Loving mother of Tony (Christine) Katsenavakis, Zoe (Panagioti) Pomoni, Michael (Jackie) Papadakis, the late Sophie (the late George) Kriarakis and the late Basil (Marcie) Papadakis; loving Yia Yia of many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; dear sister of Yiannoula (Manoli) Simeakis and the late Stella, Adoni, Aristotle, Constantine, Niko, Yanni and Irini; fond Thea of many nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held Thursday, September 15th, from 10:00 am until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 am at St. Basil Greek Orthodox Church, 733 S. Ashland Ave. in Chicago. Interment Bethania Cemetery. Arrangement entrusted to Vergos & Associates under the direction of Olson Burke/Sullivan Funeral Home, 773-774-3333.
