To Mike's family, I don't have to tell you what a wonderful father and grandfather you had,..you already know. What I can share with you is what a great boss and caring supervisor he was. He took us under his wing and taught us to love and perform the job he loved. He never looked down on anyone or acted superior, but he was always Mike, a sergeant everyone wanted to work for.
I was especially grateful because I was one of the the first women in 010 to work for him when he made sergeant. He was respectful always and never once made gender or race an issue. He was fair with everyone and we all loved him.
You have a special angel who will continue to watch over you and make sure that you are well taken care of.
Rest In Peace, Sarge. You will be missed by many.

There aren't enough words to cover what a spectacular person Mike was. I learned so much about the "job" from "Sgt. Mulligan" as did thousands of others, but even more important than that I learned what a true friend is all about in knowing Mike. Not only the best friend that anyone can be blessed with, but the most INCREDIBLE Dad and PaPa to his children and grand kids who he loved and cherished until the day God called him home. I always told Mike on Father's Day that anyone can be a "father" but NO ONE is a dad like you. The definition for "dad" in the dictionary I found simply says: see Mike Mulligan. "1130...Go ahead 30....Squad,Per Me, I'm at home with the LORD and my grandson John. All is well!" "19-P." Rest in peace Brother! Love you Michael!!
