Erin and Michael, Jim and I were heartbroken to hear of Michael's death. We will always remember his smile, outgoing spirit...oh, and his awesome tennis game! Mr & Mrs Reaney,
I went to Catholic U with Mike and he quickly became my favorite person to spend time with. He was a huge part of the CUA community and he will be forever missed by everyone who had the pleasure to know him. I had a chance to visit with him last October and I will always cherish that memory. I am so very sorry for your loss and am praying for your family in this difficult time.

Dear Michael, we have never met, but I know your Mom and she is someone I respect and admire. I could only imagine the imprint you have left on your parents hearts and all the gifts you have brought to them while here in the physical world. Your spirit will forever live on in all the people you have touched. I've only heard kind, lovely things about you, which doesn't surprise me (knowing your Mom) and hearing that your Father, whom I haven't met yet, is equally just as kind hearted as her... Even though we never met, I feel as if we did because I too have one son, and knew how special you were and always will be to your parents.

Dear Michael and Erin, You do not know me but I heard of your son Michaels death through a mutual friend in Chicago that was a friend of his. My daughter Erin, was to be a 2012 graduate of Catholic University in nursing. She was killed by a drunk driver on Dec 7th 2012. I DO know what you are going through. The pain is like nothing you have ever experienced. Your faith will get you through, please do not give up on that. I am giving you my email if you would like to contact me. If not I understand. I remember first meeting Michael when he was 6 or 7 out walking his dog after school. He was so handsome even then. I got to know him growing up on the tennis courts at RFTC and watched him become quite the accomplished tennis player. Erin and Micheal, I am SO sorry for your loss.

Mike Reaney will remain in my mind one of the most happy, energetic and caring people I've met. I had so much fun with him on the Fenwick Tennis team.
