I know Michael loved the funeral mass today, a
beautiful and dignified holy celebration of his amazing life. I knew Michael for many years, through good and bad times. Nothing would have made him happier than his family and friends being together as we were today. And I suspect, he loved the Piper doing "When Irish Eyes Are Smiling". I will always hold those smiling Irish eyes of his in my heart.

So long, my dear friend Michael. You have touched my heart with your many stories, your courage, and your love. I will miss you. I offer condolences to your family who you loved so much and spoke of so often.
