Mildred O'Brien Obituary

Mildred M. O'Brien, nee Kuzel, age 92, passed away March 31. Beloved wife of the late Frederick; loving mother of Sharon (Peter) Peters, Marilyn (Michael) Dunne and the late Kathleen (Michael) Brady; cherished grandmother of Michael (Dianne) and Aeleen Brady, Jacqueline (Joseph) Egan and Melissa Dunne; great-grandmother of Shalyn, Karleen, Sean and Ryan; fond sister of the late Robert (the late Dorothy) Kuzel and the late Alfred (Elanor) Kuzel. Family and friends will meet at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 4660 W. 94th St., Oaklawn, IL, Monday, for Services at 10:30 a.m. Visitation Sunday, from 3 to 9 p.m., at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 6150 N. Cicero Ave. Interment Fairmont Cemetery. 773-736-3833.

That Nan loved us. She let me blow out her birthday candle at her 90th birthday party. She always had m & m candies in her glass bowl on her coffee table. I ate them all. Mommy thought it was so cool that Nan loved hamburgers from Wendy's. First time daddy and mommy took her out they went to Wendy's. Mommy thought she was a cool and hip grandmother.

Rest in peace Nan and you are our angel in the sky watching over us and keeping us safe.
