Nancy Kuhn Lindner Seibold was born on August 28, 1934 to Dr. H. Farrell and Cecil Marsh Kuhn at the Chicago Lying-In Hospital. Weighing only 3 lbs., she was placed by Dr. Martin Couney in an incubator at the 1933 World's Fair. Nancy often joked, "Back then you had to pay 25¢ to see me; now you can see me for free!"

Growing up in Kenilworth, Illinois, Nancy graduated from Joseph Sears School, New Trier High School, and Northwestern University, where she was a Kappa Alpha Theta. While attending Northwestern, Nancy earned a teaching degree and taught in Park Ridge after graduation. After raising her family, Nancy returned to teaching and taught for 17 years in the Winnetka Public Schools. Over the years she helped in the planning of many reunions for her alma maters, and was an active member of the Northwestern Alumni Board.

The summer before her senior year of college, Nancy met the love of her life, Robert F. Lindner, Sr. in Paris at an American folk music club, where people snapped their fingers in appreciation of the music, because it was too small to clap. They married in 1957, and together they enjoyed tennis, golf, snow skiing, sailing, traveling, Rottweilers, and raising their two children, Bobby and Sally.

Following the passing of Robert Sr., Nancy married her Jr. High sweetheart, Arthur Bingham Seibold in 2001, and they enjoyed their "golden years" together. In 2018 Nancy moved to Tennessee to be near her family.

Nancy was an active member of The Church of the Holy Comforter, Kenilworth, for 75 years, and served the church in may roles during that time.

Nancy is preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Harry Kuhn, Robert Lindner, Sr. and Arthur Bingham Seibold. She leaves behind son Robert, Jr. (Karen), Christina & Erika Lindner, daughter Sally (Mark), Micaela, Audrey, Molly "Rose" Hamm and Caitlin (Hastin) Witt, and close friend John Damisch.

Nancy and I were classmates at New Trier. Over the years we had lost touch but I remember her fondly. My prayers and special wishes to her family at this sad time.

Every year at Washburne Jr. High, Nancy welcomed the staff to the end of year party on her terrace overlooking Lake Michigan, always with her wide smile and twinkling eyes. We loved being with her and admired her gentle way with her students. She will be remembered so fondly. What a charming woman!

I had the privilege of working as a colleague in the English Department (Winnetka) with Nancy during her teaching years. She was a sweet and generous spirit. always ready with a smile or a laugh. She was a good person, and I am sorry to hear of her passing. She led a long and productive life. I send sympathy and condolences to her family. May the happy memories support you all.
