Nathan Marion Lofton, 91; formerly of Chicago's Uptown and Hyde Park neighborhoods; former principal at Joan F. Arai Middle School, musician and guitar teacher, U.S. Army Korean War veteran; passed away peacefully April 24, 2021. Beloved husband of the late Shizu "Sue" Lofton, dear stepfather of Linda (Avron) Hoffman of Vancouver, loving grandfather of Miko Hoffman, great-grandfather of Saya deCouto-Hoffman. Brother of Sheila and the late Don. Survived by many devoted friends and caretakers, nieces and nephews. A summertime celebration of life is being planned.
