Nick, his brother Dean, my sister Yoit and I had much of fun as kids. I have fond memories of our families vacationing together at Devil's Lake State Park in Wisconsin. He had a wonderful laugh especially when we got silly.

I knew Nick causally in High school (OPRFHS class of '66). We reconnected at our 10 year high school reunion and started exchanging Christmas cards. That led to an occasional phone call, then more calls, and then to getting together on my infrequent trips back to Chicago. Phone calls were always a highlight of my day, and there would always be a Greek anecdote or two.

Nick was a devoted caregiver to his family, and positivity was a strong suite. No matter what was going on he would say, "God gives us Grace one day at a time."

My sincere condolences to all who knew and loved Nick. I will dearly miss his friendship very much but I know he is Resting in Peace.
