So many wonderful memories, it is hard to put them into just a few words. Nora was a wonderful sister and friend to my mother Mary Ellen. Nora was there for every special event in my life, from my First Communion, marriage, birth of my son, to the death of my mother. She was always just a phone call away, and never too busy to listen to your troubles, hopes or dreams. As a child I spent many hours with Aunt Nora learning to sew. Although I could never hope to be the seamstress that she was, her patience was endless. And who could forget their very first Downtown shopping trip complete with lunch at Marshall Field’s, and again Aunty Nora’s endless patience, as I had to pick just the right gift to bring home. Nora was truly a great lady. She lived her life with great strength and grace. She has given us all a wonderful example of how we should strive to live our lives and persevere even during difficult times. I am so glad I was able to visit with her just a few weeks ago, and Aunty Nora, I love you and will miss you for the rest of my life.
