O.L. Gil Snyder, 86, of Crystal Lake passed away January 30, 2014. President of Chicago Spence Tool & Rubber Co. in Melrose Park. Beloved husband of the late Phyllis; loving father of Jodie (Bruce) Roth, Janet (Paul) Nikoden, Gil (Nancy) Snyder, and Jay (Cindy) Snyder; cherished grandfather of Brandon (Carrieann), Garrett, Ashley, Gilson, Teri, Jennifer, Heather (Adam), Bradley (Kerri), and Jason and great-grandfather of Shyann, Bobby, Samantha, and Elisabeth; dear brother of Harriette Koeppel, Linda Nickeson, Sandy Prisby, and the late Cedric "Bud" Snyder, Norma Wagner, and Betty Donath. Visitation will be from 4 to 9pm on Tuesday, February 4 at Querhammer & Flagg Funeral Home, 500 W. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake. The service will be at 7pm. Interment will be private. Memorials may be made to the Crystal Lake Fire Department, 100 W. Woodstock St., Crystal Lake, IL 60014. Thank you everyone for you kind words. Our hearts are heavy, but full of very fond memories that will last forever. My Grandpa was one of a kind and very special to all of us. He gave us so much love, wisdom, a sense of humor, countless laughs. The best a girl could ever ask for. I love you Grandpa! Now you and Grandma can watch over us together!
