Patrick L. Powell, age 83, of River Forest; loving father of Tom (Frances), Nancy (Marsha), Jim (Patti), Bill and the late Michael; cherished grandfather of Quinn, Connor, Brandon and Dylan; dear brother of Jacque (Woody) Flora, the late William Powell and the late Jeanne (the late Lattie) Brown; fond uncle of many. Patrick was an accomplished mechanical engineer at Stewart Warner of Chicago for over 30 years. He had over 20 patents and during his retirement ran a successful marine restoration business. Visitation Wednesday, 4 to 8 p.m. at Drechsler, Brown & Williams Funeral Home, 203 S. Marion St., Oak Park, where Funeral Service will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. Interment Glen Oak Cemetery. So sorry to hear about Pat's passing. He has helped us out many times over the years with classic boat gauge restoration and was a pleasure to know and work with.

Although Pat and I never met in person, he did several gauge restorations for me over the years. His work was terrific and he was a pleasure to deal with on the telephone. He will be missed.
